I went out today and pivoted my stock bars way forward just to see how much better higher and further forward would feel and it was a huge improvement. Unfortunately, I can't leave them like that as it takes the degree of bend and pushes it up instead of back.

No I didn't extend any lines, you can gain a little slack by going forward instead of going straight up, but the bars are as high and as far forward as can be, any further would require longer lines. Only thing I had to do was rotate the front brake line a little bit on the reservoir.
