great videos very helpful how do u like the cam where did it change the power and was this your first install or not and how long would it have taken you if you didnt take video im just trying to get a ballpark idea i want to do a camshaft in my 700r and just want to know where these cams make power and how long to expect to take ive done complete rebuilds and am no stranger to these SOHC motors i ride trails and long fields and want a cam with more mid and top end but dont want too loose that torque thanks Kevin

Thanks Maxwellsteel!

I did my HC2 install tonight. The only snag I ran into was that I couldn't get the stock cam to come out. It took we a second to figure out that the head has a relief to clear the cam lobe and you have to rotate the cam to match up to the relief in the head. No big deal.

I had the laptop on the floor next to me and cranked it out taking my time. I spent about 3 hours on it. Doing it over again it would go a lot faster. Maybe 1-1.5 hours over how long it takes to adjust the valves.

The hardest part for me was the engine kept moving slightly off the 'I'. I need a longer breaker bar!

very nice video,well made.
but i couldnt stop laughing at the hammering part. the fast taping was just funny sounding to me.lol im a nut though.

has anyone done a write up to go along with this?that could be very handy also.

what is that dl700 hand made part/puller?he sells those?

also. i know how 2 adjust my valves,but what are the clearances you use on a hc2? is it the same as stock?should it be more to the tight or loose side?
