Default Make your own magnetic oil drain plug

Make your own magnetic oil drain plug using any stock oil drain plug

1. Drill a 11/64 inch hole about 3/16 inch deep in end of your stock oil drain plug using drill press. Then follow this up with 3/16 inch drill bit.
2. Get your magnet on line from K&J Magnetics - Products or K&J Magnetics - Products .
3. Insert this magnet in the hole you drilled in the stock oil drain plug. Mine was a press fit prolly because the magnet was nickel plated I think. Make sure you leave 1/16 inch of the magnet showing.

Have fun.... The magnets are 30 cents or 40 cents plus shipping.

The magnetic oil tank drain plug for a Raptor 700 (which is 8mm x 1.25 on right side) is an example of a make it yourself magnetic oil drain plug. I added a 17mm hex head on that one so it is the same as my magnetic oil drain plug for the case which is 14mm x 1.50 with 17mm hex head
The middle magnetic oil tank drain plug is a 10mm x 1.25 for my Raptor 660 (with 17mm hex head).
