Default Re-building stock stem question

I see that you will rebuild my stock stem and add length. My question is can you also add the 1/2" further forward or is that only for new stems? Also, is 1/2" as far as it can go forward? How much does this change the feel of steering? Does it make steering feel more like a sweeping motion rather than pivoting at the fulcrum? Do you know how much I can raise my '09 Raptor 700 stock bars without needing longer cables and brake lines? I want to gain as much as possible because I am 6'3" and have very long arms so I feel cramped up even on the Raptors. Thanks

I'm 6'7" and I haven't been more comfortable on a quad. I have the Rox pivoting risers to get the bars forward and my bars only have 1.85" of pull back. It handles just fine, it feels way better than before.

It appears those are pivoted all the way forward is that true? If so did that not give them much if any rise? If your bar center is as it appears, an inch or more forward of stem center, does this make your steering feel strange? Like you are swinging the bars to turn instead of pivoting them.

I took another pic for you so you can see the amount of rise and forward placement. My stem is +1 1/4" so that's how I got some rise. I used the risers to gain the rest, but yes they are mostly to get them forward. I think it steers way better, it feels like it takes less effort, my arms don't get near as tired and they are in a much more comfortable position for me.

Yeah, thats a good angle to see it. I appreciate the extra photo. I think thats basically what I'm gonna do. Did you have to put on any longer cables or brake lines? I went out today and pivoted my stock bars way forward just to see how much better higher and further forward would feel and it was a huge improvement. Unfortunately, I can't leave them like that as it takes the degree of bend and pushes it up instead of back.

No I didn't extend any lines, you can gain a little slack by going forward instead of going straight up, but the bars are as high and as far forward as can be, any further would require longer lines. Only thing I had to do was rotate the front brake line a little bit on the reservoir.
