Black jug on 2004 Raptor 50?

Anybody know why the jug would be black on my sons Raptor 50? Does this maybe mean it has been replaced?

My sons 50 is the same way. The only reason I can think of is that black disapates heat faster so it keeps the inside of the cylinder cooler. If you have ever seen a race motor from a car there all painted black for the same reason.
