Hey all,
I'm new to the site and just bought a 2007 Raptor. I grew up owning and riding a 1987 Suzuki 230 Quadsport, a 1985 Honda 200X, a 1985 ATC 250R, and a 1988 Quadracer 500. Got out of riding for quite a few years and rode street bikes. When I got back to my senses, I had to have the Raptor! Looking forward to learning and riding alot. |

I sold my 88 zilla witha dr.Q pipe so I could get a raptor 700, It just made more sense... a ton of power, way plush and the rideability factor was over the top, I could ride all day with the family then open it up and haull balls these bikes are tight... i never regretted the sale... raptors rule

Welcome to the site. Modding advice right off the bat.......
If those are the DMC Afterburner Duals you have (which I believe they are) and you also plan on getting inside of the engine for mods, whether it be a cam, port&polish, Piston, etc etc then you'll want to sell those and get another set of duals. Any other set of duals will perform better than those Afterburners after you break into the engine. Other popular brands are Monsters, Barkers, LTE's. DMC also makes some "Force 4" duals that will perform like the others I have mentioned if you are a DMC fan....Hope this helps If you plan on doing a "Big 3" build only (consists of an after-market intake, exhaust, fuel ontroller) then those Afterburner Duals are perfect.

Thanks for the modifying advice there but I bought the quad this way. I do know that I will not be opening up the motor as the bike has plenty of power the way it is. I'm just wondering if we will ever see the sun again, if the mud will dissappear, and if our sand dune area will ever not be under water! Just want to ride!
