    My Raptor 50 Project

Well this is called Modded Raptor so I could not even leave the 50 alone.. This came together so sweet over the last few months thanks to so many of our great sponsors. First off thanks to Bill at Quad Tech for making me a one off Raptor 50 seat, even a custom little birdie logo!! Then thanks to Cole at Fasst Company for making me a set of mini bars, these are not just big quad bars on a little bike, these bars are only 29" wide, just like the stock kiddie bars that came on it. A huge thanks to Mike at AOT for making me some killer reproduction graphics similar to my 2007 Raptor 700 SE stock graphics. Finally thanks to Al at Mid-Cal Motorsports for findinding me some very rare spacer adapters for the front of this quad. The spacers space it wider 1.5" all the way around and they also have a different bolt pattern so I can run these rims. Al also got me the 16" Holeshots and Douglas rims its currently sporting. I painted the spacers, risers and bumper black, relocated the neutral light and called it done. I am sure in 6-10 more months when he can finally ride it alone he will love it, but for now he still has to lug me around with him on it..

    Coop we miss you brother..

Actually I might have to hit Mike at AOT up for a few fender highlight stickers, kinda like my 700, but that will be it. Its almost the exact mirror of my quad, I kinda like the stock modded look. Next is the motor. They are getting some fun power out of these things just with carb mods, pipes and rev boxes..

    Coop we miss you brother..

Tim, that thing looks great! Your little guy is going to love riding that. Just wait until he takes it out in a little snow, it's a grin.

I know you and I am sure you have been looking for a pipe. Go on Ebay and search for pitbike exhaust or XR 50 pipe. The pipe below is a no-name but has a buy it now for $40.

There are many styles out there due to the pitbike craze that are very affordable. Graft the can to your stock header and your in business. Open the airbox and bump up the main jet and your good to go with a thumpin mini.

The same pipe but different color.

I still have all of Tylers riding gear seen below. Make me an offer I can make you an awesome deal with free delivery. I have the helmet, goggles, gloves, shoulder pads, pants, and maybe even the jersey. $50??? I paid full retail price for all of it and the stuff is still in great shape.

Resist the urge to update the suspension and just live with it. Way to much money with little benefit for that age. There was a guy that grafted blaster front suspension on a Raptor 80 which turned out great. If you search Raptorette you could find write ups on it but the pictures are gone. When he reaches 8 years old or so, than it is time to step up with a tricked out motor and suspension. I know your already thinking about and looking forward to that.

Start in the yard and let him build your trust that he can start, stop, and not drive thru the neighbors fence putting you on "America's funniest video's." I ran around behind my boys with a rope tied to the back of the quad the first few times he rode alone. It was awkward but keep his riding area very small at first.

Great job on the "one of a kind" Raptor.

Don't you still owe me a couple of t-shirts?

haha thats looks way better than it did tim. if i were you i would get one of those remote kill switches off of ebay, some guy makes them for the mini quads. that is great so you can sit and watch him and if he is gonna smack something you can kill it before he does. when he gets big enough drop it off at mr barkers and have a badass exhaust made up lol.
RIP COOP, you are and always will be missed bud
