Hi Folks

My raptor seems to be dying at idle after being ridden very hard
-under normal riding conditions it idles fine without any problems. After dying it takes a few turns of the starter for the motor to run. My initial thoughts was that it was overheating but when checking the rad-fan I saw it was bypassed to be always on. I took out both carbs and cleaned them thoroughly ensuring nothing is blocked/sticky.

Any ideas why this is happening?

I'll turn the idling up a bit and see what happens.

What is the recommended turns for the screws? I assume it will differ if a aftermarket air filter is fitted? (twin-air filter fitted).

Air box is standard (no holes drilled, boots cut, etc).

The quad came with a twin-air filter fitted; maybe running a bit lean.

While on the air filter topic-is it necessary to change jetting if running a standard exhaust with this air filter?
