I am looking at purchasing a 2006 yamaha raptor 700r for $1000. The guy says all it needs is a wiring harness, starter solenoid, and a battery. I found all of these parts for about $200. Is this a common problem? How hard is it to replace the wiring harness? What year wiring harness are compatible? And overall does this sound like a good ideal. I know if I do get it and fix it I could make a decent profit off of it. but what do people actually pay for these bikes. thank you for any info. I cant get pictures to upload but it is a very clean nice looking bike

There are so many factors on what its worth that no one can really tell you that without knowing where you live and pictures of the bike. A harness is not a common problem. Someone probably cut into it for some reason and now cant get it to run right. Not sure what years are compatible but a dealer should be able to easily tell you this.
