I know there will be lots of opinions on this so let's have 'em! Just purchased a 3-mod 700 (Barker duals, Dobeck and Mod quad intake). The 1st mods I just purchased are Fasst bars/anti-vibe riders, scotts damper, 4" swinger. Now it's motor time. I'm looking for 75 or so pump gas HP - non turbo. I'm in Portland and I'm talking to Eric at WKR about their 105 kit with CP piston (11.5:1 I believe) +2 valves, KW springs, Mega cycle 4 cam, porting/headwork. We are also talking about a 54mm billet TB (damn thing is expensive though!). I'm assuming I'll have to replace the Dobeck with a PCIII and add a Dyna ignition as well?? Any thoughts on this type of build on pump gas the reliability/HP you could expect? Thanks for the help guys!:hail:

My bro owned a Kenz 780. It dyno'd at 73hp and 57tq on a stingy KBR dyno. We will dyno two exact builds here in about 3 weeks on the same dyno. My twin bro and mines stock bore/stroke pump gas 700's. We are looking for 66-69 hp and about 51-52 tq. Mods in signature.

I would suspect that kenz build is probably an old one. You certainly dont need that big of a motor to make those numbers today. I was down there today and he was running a regular duner style bike 797 making 91 and some change with a stock ignition on it.

To make 75 the 54 imo is a waste of money. $800 by the time you get an injector in it. should be fine with a great head and a bored stock tb.

i just got my WK 105.5 cylinder and 11:1 CP piston last week from eric. very nice piece. Racersedge is deffinatly a good place for head work. these are the 2 main places i deal with. the 54mm TB is very much worth it but get a bigger injector. I went with the denso pink from DL700, and i would go with the HDD5050 cam if i was to do it over again. deal with these 3 guys and you cant go wrong, and you will hit the numbers your looking for. I would like to see someday all these guys put there heads with the same cam on the same neutral quad,on the same neutral dyno, and see the #'s. I personally will be a customer to WK and racersedge for life. but would be a way to show who's got what. with no trash talking or bullshit. but just for the customers. there are a few builders one who is no longer around the forums kds racing who's heads were done buy raceredge, props to racersedge and letting kds racing take credit for there work. you might as well throw in a +5 hotrods and go all out at once

The cams that have .500" lift or higher will use the 54mm TBs potential better than the X2/X4 cams. Not saying you cant do it with success, just saying if Im buying a billet TB Im gonna get a cam more taylored for the application.
