Hey guys, I'm new to the forums but I'll be around a lot discussing some aspects of my build. 2003 Raptor 660. Bought it for an R1 swap and my engine builder buddy wants to build me a raptor motor, Bike goes in first week of September for the motor build so I started ordering the parts today. Wondering if anyone has any constructive criticism or power estimates? After its built+setup with the bottle, its all getting fiberglassed with shifter kart body front-end, a streetbike tail to hide the 2.9lbs carbon fiber nitrous bottle and then torn apart to paint. Possibly a big ricey wing for downforce? The bike is for me not for you, I don't care to explain in WHY, just WHAT

Motor:
+2.5mm Bore Team Alba Motor & 11:1 CP Piston
CP Rod
Precision-machined Stock crank
Hot Cams Stage 3 cam
Valves/Springs/Port+Polish Done by the shop
Mishimoto Radiator
CFM Performance Oil tank
Complete Yoshimura Exhaust
Moose Intake Manifold
17-shot N.O.S. Wet Nitrous kit (bigger shot for special occasions, but 17 day-to-day)
2.9-lbs Carbon Fiber "Boondockers" Nitrous Bottle
Dyno-tuned factory carbs for now, Wideband gauge. Custom carbs in the works with nitrous ports
4.9 Gallon Clarke Fuel Tank(fits inside stock plastics)
***Mishimoto Oil Cooler?? Haven't seen anyone run a thermostatic Sandwich-plate-style oil cooler MRP_Thermostatic_Oil_Filter_Sandwich_Plate_grande.jpg on a raptor, has anyone tried it? As an alternative, I also sourced an electric oil pump oil-pump-03.jpg made for miniature turbochargers, I'm considering having 2 fittings welded into the oil tank and using the electric pump to circulate oil through the oil cooler. I'll be running removable headlights with their own power source IF I ever ride at night at all, so I can spare the power.

A lot is still up in the air about the chassis because of the fiberglass work and some sponsorship situations. Once the fiberglass front-end is done with the weight of the oil cooler up front, I'll see how to set the suspension/swingarm up.
The tires are going to be:
255/40-10 (18X10.00-10) 46Q MAXXIS M992 SPEARZ REAR
195/50-10 (17.5X7.50-10) 35Q MAXXIS M991 SPEARZ FRONT
Those tires are imported from the U.K., they're the only Q-rated ATV tire designed for ATV-sized rims I can find without putting slicks on. Any better suggestions? These weren't easy to get lol.

Obviously somebody isnt going to like the idea of fiberglassing the quad, but the aerodynamic benefit when all you want to do is go stupidly fast is worth it. Have a go at me in the comments, by all means. Anyone with real advice/experience though I'm all ears. Thanks!

Sounds like a cool build, keep us updated. Especially on the ricey wing! lol
Here's an update! I cant edit the original post to reflect the change in the build. It's gonna be a fairly unique, old-school setup!

I contacted Lectron Fuels regarding their simplified dual carb setup which is easier to tune in the winter. It's discontinued, so when I mentioned my nitrous build they offered a custom single-carb setup that injects nitrous through the bell and has a secondary jet you activate with either a switch or a timer. It'll be SOOO much easier to tune a single carb, but I needed to make it work and the Edelbrock kit for raptors is discontinued. The Grizzly manifold won't bolt up to the raptor head.

Seeing as I needed a head job, I decided to contact BP Racing ATV and get a fully ported and polished Grizzly660 head, which is essentially the same thing as a raptor except the layout of the intake/exhaust ports. The Grizzly660 intake manifold joins the 2 ports into 1 boot for my single carb. Head is brand new then fully-assembled with Kibbelwhite+1 valves+kibbelwhite springs/retainers/etc and stage 3 Hotcams cam.

I'm still figuring out which complete exhaust to use, most grizzly exhausts are for mudding but HMF seems to have one that will work. Not sure if I need to bend it so that it clears everything.

Not sure what size of nitrous shot to use. It' might be a lot more reliable than initially planned lol

Motor:
+2.5mm Bore Team Alba Motor & 11:1 CP Piston
CP Rod
Precision-machined Stock crank
Hot Cams Stage 3 cam
Grizzly660 Head, +1 Valves/Springs/Port+Polish by BP Racing ATV
Mishimoto Radiator
CFM Performance Oil tank
HMF Full Exhaust??
Lectron Fuel Systems Custom 52-50 Carb with custom Nitrous Bell+Secondary Jet, Fuel Pump and twist throttle
20-shot Nitrous Express Stealth Dry kit (bigger shot for special occasions, but 20 day-to-day)
2.9-lbs Carbon Fiber "Boondockers" Nitrous Bottle
4.9 Gallon Clarke Fuel Tank(fits inside stock plastics)

Haven't decided on the oil cooler yet, but I'm thinking its a good idea. Any feedback?
