I know the new guy usually gets pounded for not using the search function, but I'm hoping you guys can help me anyway.

My son's quad has a port/pollish head, 300cc big bore, pipe, intake (GYTR) and doesn't want to rev all the way to top RPM under a load. I've narrowed it down to a carb issue and after using every jet in the GYTR and Dynojet kit (145 is the largest); I've started buying them individually.

As of late, I've got a 180 main jet and I'm still running pretty "tan" on my plug meaning I think I'm still too lean. As this is a HUGE difference from stock, i'm wondering if I just need a bigger carb.

Any guys out there have input? Carb Ideas? I know CT racing makes the 33mm, but my friend has 2 of them on his bikes and we run pretty close together, plus his seems to be a huge pain to tune....

I've also seen a posting with a bike for sale that had a 38mm of a crf150r motorcycle...

Ideas?

yes the crf150 carbs will work and also a z400 or kfx 400 carb works well with a modded motor...
