i hear some builders are starting to do this. my question is what are the benefits?
Also if i went with say a 8mil stroke compared to a longer rod 8mil stroke what would the difference be?
The longer the stroke the steeper the rod angle causing excessive vibration and wear. With the longer rod the Geometry is closer stock and improves the rod angle.
Therefore improving overall performance and longevity. Thats why i started my long rod motor 2 months ago, now i see the top builders are getting around to it.
