Hi.

First post on this forum. Tried the search function, but nothing of interest came up.

Basically i am wondering what size (and what threads 1,5/2,0?) the castle nut that holds the wheel on to the splines on the axel are. I am guessing M18x2,0 ?
I allmost lost my wheel last week, when the nut came off. I am living in Norway, and it takes some time to get the original nut (ordered from a Yamaha dealer).

So i am hoping to use a regular nyloc nut, with some loctite on it, until i get the original one. If anyone has a better solution/safer solution i am all ears!

(There may be som type-o`s here and there.)

Looks like the manual says M16, but i don't know the pitch.
Just take the other side in to a hardware store or your equivalent over there and have them match it up. A castle nut and washer will work fine. Don't forget to reinstall the cotterpin on the axle. That will prevent it from happening again.
