If I can get the jack under there and lift that beast up enough to take a picture I will, because I don't want to chance picking it up by hand right now with a fresh one of these:Pics?

I saw your drag car in the thread on RF, very impressive brother!Oh yeah....that looks like it would throb like a sonofabitch. At least it missed breaking the joint. I've drilled that hole in the nail to release the pressure a few times...but not after what you did. Ouch.
So I'm kind of confused how this works. Why is the tap tapered? Is the beginning of the tap m14 and get wider? Here is the AutoZone link for those of us that do not have an Advance Auto around.

When we sent the motor off to Ken at KCT for the new race build, he said he'd take care of it. He had to go through the motor anyway to change the seals.
Ken welded a steel bung for the drain, and it now uses a flange bolt as the drain plug.
Better late than never? Thumb is doing better and I've been working on the quad some. I removed the skid and snapped a couple pics.. The new bolt uses a 17mm socket:Pics?
Hah, I really need to ride it more. I have three quads altogether and can't ride them all simultaneously. My yfzR has only been rode a couple hours in the past two years I think also. I've been riding the Zuk more often.Lol your bike will outlast me if you run it for four hours every 2 years
2 years on it now and going strong, if I got another 700 right now I would do the same thing whether it was stripped or not. I'm a big fan of it.Mines stripped out now too :nono: Like the idea of welding the bung in the hole. Think thats a safe way of doing it?
Thats what im going to do. Thanks for posting pics of it. Gonna do it up this weekend :coolshades:2 years on it now and going strong, if I got another 700 right now I would do the same thing whether it was stripped or not. I'm a big fan of it.
Hey hows it going can you send a link of what helicoil you got?screwed
My bro inlaw did the same thing to his. Very touchy drain plug. We took it to the dealer and they said that they see it quite often so they recomended a hela-coil. Took them a couple hours and about 80 bucks and we were back on the road.
