Im getting pissed i just bought this grab bar i believe it looks like i have to cut the plastic???? Looks great just terrible wing design.....

i have heard you have to do a little trimming.. not a 100% just what i have heard

Yea, I got one and you do have to trim the plastic alittle. I am impatient so I didn't send mine back. You can't tell once you trim it and install the grab bar.
But if you ever change brands you'll probably notice the trimmed area. It's a nice grab bar and has held up really well but they should have made it were there is no trimming needed.:wtf::banghead:

Here is a pic of mine installed. Yes you must trim the plastic. If you take your time and make a clean trim, it looks great. I thought it matched the SE bumper really well.

How about somebody posting a detailed pic of where and what you had to trim to make this bumper fit. Would be very helpful.

Yep just a little trimming involved...and I do mean very little. I love mine and wouldn't have any other Grab Bar out there.

Can one of you guys post a DETAILED pic of where you had to trim your plastics. A close up pic(s) usually works best. :banghead:

Here are some close up pics of mine. As you look at them, the left side has been trimmed but I think as soon as I get time, I will clean it up a bit more. I didnt have the right tools that I like when I did the trim. When I am done it will look like it came from the factory like that. On the right side there is a very small place that I will trim also. You will see where it touches when you look at the pics...

I have the same grab bar but luckely i have race cut plastics so it didn't matter

This was the first thing I put on my quad. Trimming the plastic was relatively easy, figured it out on my own, and it still looks fine. My one concern about the grab bar is I've heard it wont fit with a CT racing pipe, which is my first choice for exhaust.
