Ok so how much slack is right? I think the yamaha manual says its a hair over 2 inches.But my chain makes a slapping noise.Thank You.

are u taking the slack out of one side when checking it?....how many hrs are on it?

Taking a mesurement from the top of the swing arm.To the chain.Fully extended away to as close as it gets.To get an overall length of slack.

i usually measure roughly about 1.5 inches...i just installed a new chain with 10hrs on it now and have had zero problems...no slapping noise
