Like the title says we bought our oldest Cy a 2008 SE Raptor 250. These are great machines. He is very happy. He is starting to get the clutch down. But it is fun even for an adult to ride. Lots of power and very comfortable. Here are some pics. The last one is Cy on his Raptor and my youngest Nick on his LT80.

We got ours used very lightly used for a great deal. I will not disclose the amount but it was a good deal. Also came with sand tires on wheels.

But you can find year end clearances on brand new ones for 3K. I have seen them out there.

I've been thinking about trading my daughters Honda 250EX for one of these.

I would like it even more if the Yammy had reverse but, it is much lighter and she is about ready to start shifting on her own. The Honda is a glorified auto. . . don't need to clutch much. I think the Raptor 250 would really work her skills and allow her to go places she has a tough time getting to now.

Mark it really is a great bike. I can't believe how quick it is. Haven't gotten it in the sand yet but since Cy only weighs 50lbs soakin wet I am sure he could probably take it just about anywhere. I am already impressed with it just in the back yard.

Can't wait to see what it does in the sand though.

If we meet up anytime soon you can test it out if you want.

We are thinking about a Sand Mt. trip in early Oct.

Thanks for the offer.

I'm a little concerned that my Daughter will be able to pull in the clutch but, wide open spaces and a reminder of where the shut-off switch is are good things!

She would really be so excited to be able to get to the top of the hill without much effort. I'm sure that bike can do it. Would like to see it.

A guy down here was asking $3k for a slightly used one. I thought that sounded a bit high. I didn't make him a real offer. Asked him what his low-end price was and he didn't budge. We'll see. I'll keep my eyes open. I would think $2,500ish would be a good deal.

You really can get a brand new one for 2995 I have seen them in Utah. We are going to SM Utah mid October so I don't think we can make it to Fallon. But I am sure we can hook up some time. I have been riding with him and reminding him in the back yard. He is gettin there. He is a very cautious kid though. If it was Nick he would already be shiftin gears. LOL But he can only barely reach the clutch. Thank goodness. LOL He scares me on his LT let alone the Raptor.
