this is my stock plug but it is black as hell. whats the cause too rich or too lean.

how can you tell by looking at a map if it is leaner or richer

my headers never glow and i occasionally i can run at WOT (wide open throttle) and then coast and it will stall out. when i start it up i most of the time get a loud back fire

From that picture it looks like its rich... when your plug is good, the electrode should look like coffee with creamer in it! But like the others have said, we need to see the tip of the plug the tip below the threaded end!
